Office Administrator/ Shipping Specialist- Cabot, PA

The office administrator role will provide support to ensure efficient operation of office.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

 

Complete the following duties including but not limited to:



  • Receive, package, and ship products with care and a high level of detail
  • Verify all actions meet established checks and processes
  • Detailed inspection of products, including firearms, and other products
  • General office, administrative, and facility duties including stocking inventory, general cleaning, and light technical tasks
  • Reception duties including answering phones, greeting guests, and assisting customers
  • Bookkeeping duties including logging bills, processing orders, and creating invoices
  • Follow established safety rules and regulations
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

 

Reports to: 



  • Office Manager and Owners of Company

Requirements and Desired Experience:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Pass background check, with no felony record, based on the requirement of the Federal Firearms License

 

 

Work Environment: 

  • Temperature controlled office, upstairs and lower level. 

 

Pay and Hours of work:

  • Part-time, 20-30 hours a week during day-time office hours, 2-4 days a week. Ability to grow into full-time hours but not guaranteed. 
  • Pay will be discussed

Gunsmith Technicians - Fort Wayne, IN

We are recruiting a motivated individual to join our company as a Gunsmith. As part of our team, you will work with a small group of individuals dedicated to their craft and a small business just as dedicated to its employees.

Complete the following duties including but not limited to:

  • Assist Gunsmith Team and company to ensure compliance with all State and Federal (ATF) regulations
  • Work in a manner that always ensures safety
  • Hand assemble and customize pistols according to customer needs and specifications
  • Part preparation including removal of machining marks, finishing, fitting, testing, and blending with the use of hand tools and machines such as grinders
  • Metal polishing / hand polishing
  • Application of coatings and finishes
  • Clean, repair, fabricate and disassemble pistols
  • Assist in servicing of pistols including cleaning
  • Testing of Firearms
  • Report to production any issues detected that are attributed to the assembly process
  • Work efficiently with all departments to ensure production goals are met and customer orders are completed on time
  • Complete documentation in accordance with established procedures
  • Conduct as directed equipment maintenance, cleaning, facility maintenance and all other production tasks
  • Communicate effectively with team members when there is room for improvement whether it be process or individual performance related
  • Openly share constructive feedback and be willing to receive similar feedback

  • Follow established safety rules and regulations
  • Assist in ensuring the company maintain compliance with State and Federal (ATF) regulations

Requirements and Desired Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Pass background check, with no felony record, based on the requirement of the Federal Firearms License
  • Pass a drug screen and be able to work is a drug free environment
  • Must be able to lift up-to thirty pounds unaided and be able to bend, crouch, and lift items throughout shift
  • Knowledge of 1911 Pistols, operation and firearm safety
  • Gunsmithing Degree or schooling preferred
  • Experience in machining, engraving, CNC operations, etc. a plus
  • Metallurgy and woodworking knowledge a plus
  • Ability to work on lathe machine, milling machine and Bridgeport’s preferred

Expected hours of work:

  • This position will be a 45-hour a week position with the typical workweek being M-F within the operating hours between 6am-5pm established with your supervisor. Cabot Gun Co. reserves the right to assign any individual to the best suited shift.

NOW HIRING Parts Picker/Prep Job Opening - Fort Wayne, IN

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our company for a Parts Picker/ Prep position. As part of our team, you will work with a small group of individuals dedicated to their craft and a small business just as dedicated to its employees.

This role will primarily be responsible for picking and staging parts for production along with other production support tasks, including data entry. This position will work directly with and report to the Production Manager. This position is ideal for those who can showcase their initiative when opportunities to assist the team arise.  Someone that enjoys a certain level of autonomy in their duties while ensuring these responsibilities are completed efficiently will thrive in this position.

Complete the following duties including but not limited to:

Parts Picking / Prep

  • Receiving all parts produced on the shop floor into their allocated inventory racks for the appropriate department.
  • Pull parts from inventory rack locations and stage kits onto specified department racks based on their electronic pick list and update order status based on items picked.
  • Deburr/Prep parts during the staging phase based on the production needs and training from the Production Manager.
  • Verify part numbers and counts monthly.
  • Assist with routine shop maintenance or tasks as needed.
  • Follow established safety policies, procedures, and regulations.

General Support

  • General office, administrative, and facility duties including stocking inventory, general cleaning, and light technical tasks.
  • Complete errands, such as picking up materials at local vendors, and using a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
  • Electronic data entry following established procedures and training.
  • Assist in ensuring the company maintains compliance with State and Federal (ATF) regulations.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Pass background check, with no felony record, based on the requirement of the Federal Firearms License.
  • Pass a drug screen and be able to work in a drug-free environment.
  • Inventory control or parts picking experience is a big plus but not required.
  • Office experience is a plus but not required if capable of performing duties.
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Must be able to lift up to thirty pounds unaided and be able to bend, crouch, and lift items throughout shift.
