At the core of this series lies the Apocalypse’s signature Damascus steel slide, its intricate, flowing patterns a testament to artisanal craftsmanship. We’ve thoughtfully refined it to honor classic 1911 aesthetics while preserving its modern edge. The rear slide now features our reimagined vertical serrations—larger and more pronounced than traditional designs. This not only improves grip and control during slide racking but also showcases even more of the stunning Damascus wave between each peak and valley.
Up front, a refined carry cut (also known as a Hi-Power cut) pays homage to John Browning’s final masterpiece—the Browning Hi-Power, completed posthumously by FN. This elegant bevel reduces slide weight for faster handling, eases holstering and press checks, and has been a cherished 1911 modification for generations. Perfectly aligned with the dustcover’s angle, it reveals fresh, captivating facets of the Damascus pattern.
True to the spirit of refined carry, the Apocalypse Classic is built in our full-cycle Commander length and chambered in smooth-shooting 9mm. The front sight boasts our prominent spherical gold bead, rising boldly above the sight blades to deliver a crisp, reliable aiming point across varying light conditions.
Making its debut here is our all-new Cabot Spur Hammer—a respectful nod to the iconic 1911 profile. While the original spur hammer earned its reputation (and occasional battle scars) among GI 1911 shooters, we’ve modernized it with updated contours and paired it with a full beavertail grip safety. The result? A sophisticated, comfortable shooting experience—no “Hammer Bite” required.
We’ve preserved key Apocalypse hallmarks like the extended magwell and ambidextrous safety for seamless performance, while introducing a medium curved trigger to evoke that classic, familiar feel. The grips are premium Ironwood, responsibly sourced in the United States and handcrafted in our own grip shop, complementing the pistol’s custom aged patina finish. This exclusive chemical patina process—achieved without heat—transforms the steel’s surface into a deep, smooth, authentically aged appearance that feels both timeless and refined.
