It’s simple, really – you get the Midnight Rebellion MAX – an evolution of the American art and science of the 1911: a carry pistol with a commanding presence, crafted from the ground up for the enthusiast unwilling to compromise. Built with 100% US sourced, US manufactured billet steel, and complete with Cabot’s proprietary Vintage Classic finish. A gun that’s as durable as it is striking, with a rock-hard exterior and an exceptionally smooth, luxurious texture. A pistol designed for the holster, and to withstand the test of time.
Yet materials alone do not define this pistol. Beneath the patina is Cabot Rebellion pedigree, an operating system engineered around the 9mm cartridge to increase reliability and speed the slide cycle. The slide is lightened with strategic and aesthetic cuts along both the outside and the inside, shedding mass without surrendering strength or the clean Cabot line. Our engineers, machinists, and gunsmiths were then challenged to develop a barrel system that reduces friction, so that lighter slide can react and cycle faster. A novel barrel lock-up eliminates the traditional locking lugs, removing a source of drag inherent to conventional 1911 barrels. The 4.25-inch Commander-length slide incorporates Cabot Full Cycle Technology, delivering the recoil impulse and operating stroke of a traditional 5-inch 1911 in a more compact package. The result is faster cycling, reduced muzzle movement, and sights that return quickly to zero—from soft target loads to +P defensive rounds.
We carried that same challenge to the weakest point of the 1911. The Cabot Advantage Internal Extractor advances our proprietary internal design, eliminating the external extractor tunnel for a sleek, uninterrupted slide while providing consistent extraction and the highest reliability over a long service life. In the hand, the Midnight Rebellion MAX is equally distinguished. Its precision-machined double-stack grip is remarkably thin from side to side—narrower than many traditional single-stack 1911 grips—so capacity never comes at the cost of a natural hold. All-steel construction puts weight exactly where it matters, taming muzzle rise and producing a flatter, softer-shooting carry pistol with the ruggedness of a gun built to be carried and used. Aggressive front, rear, and top slide serrations give positive manipulation from nearly any position, while clean, unbroken lines keep the silhouette refined from muzzle to mainspring housing. Every element serves a purpose without giving up the feel of a finely crafted 1911.
Despite its martial spirit, the fit and patinaed finish are as flawless as customers have come to expect from Cabot. The Vintage Classic surface, lightened slide, and sculpted contours make a pistol as distinctive in appearance as it is in performance. Configure it further with trigger, grip, magwell, and bespoke options, including the Cabot Red Dot Mount for low-profile compatibility with Trijicon RMR-footprint optics.
