The Apophis is a full-size Cabot 1911, chambered in .45 ACP, built on the foundation of balance, precision, and absolute mechanical confidence. Produced as a limited edition of just ten pistols, each example is individually serialized APOPHIS 1 through 10, marking its place in a collection defined by rarity and intent.
At the heart of the piece are its FireStorm Damascus grips—each panel a flowing interplay of steel and copper, layered in a pattern that reveals depth and movement.. The pattern evokes the coiling movement of a serpent, with depth and dimensionality that shift under changing light. No two are alike, yet each is unmistakably part of the same lineage, forged with purpose and finished to reveal the full character of the material.
That copper narrative carries throughout the pistol in select components, most notably the slide stop, thumb safety, and barrel bushing. Each is copper plated and finished by hand with a controlled torch process by our creative artisan gunsmiths, producing a living patina of deep, shifting tones. The result is not uniformity, but individuality—subtle variations that reinforce the hand-touched nature of the piece.
The trigger, machined from matching copper Damascus, is both a visual and tactile centerpiece. It connects the shooter directly to the material story of the pistol—where the layered complexity of the steel meets the singular moment of execution. At the front, a precisely set ruby serves as the sight—an intentional departure from convention. It glows with a restrained intensity, like an ember in shadow, providing a point of focus that is both functional and symbolic. It is the eye of the serpent, fixed and unwavering.
The slide is defined by its serpentine cocking serrations, flowing along the rounds in a continuous, deliberate rhythm.
