Where the Fire of Jason Morrissey Meets the Soul of the 1911
In the quiet heart of a one-man forge, Jason Morrissey works his wizardry. A true artist of steel, he does not merely crate Damascus — he reawakens it. With the same revolutionary spirit that Jimi Hendrix brought to the guitar, Morrissey takes an ancient art form and infuses it with new life, new vision, and new music. Morrissey Damascus grips are not accessories. They are living sculptures, each one an original masterpiece born from fire, hammer, and pure creative force.
The six pistols showcase slides forged from 120 to 135 layers of stainless Damascus steel, hand-forged by third-generation blacksmiths—the same storied quality that forms the foundation of our Ultimate Carry Pistols. Each Damascus billet is meticulously transformed into a slide in our Cabot machine shop, preserving its crisp, repeating chevron pattern. Elegant as woven twilight and sharp as fishbone and shadow, the pattern awakens under the skilled hands of our gunsmiths through acid-etching and polishing, where the dramatic interplay of dark and light unveils the steel’s full, mesmerizing character.
Each trigger is individually machined and hand-finished from Damasteel Damascus in an aggressive, dense-twist pattern — swirling helical lines that flow like liquid smoke frozen in motion, bold and hypnotic under the light.
Yet it is the grips that elevate these pistols into the realm of true art.
Forged individually by Jason Morrissey, each grip is a singular creation. No two are alike. They twist, bloom, and surge with dramatic contrast — dark rivers of steel meeting luminous waves in patterns that feel both ancient and entirely new. Jason’s work pays deep homage to the masters who taught him — Don Fogg, Rick Dunkerley, Jim Crowell, Steve Schwarzer, Tim McCreight, Peter Ross, and Steven Yusko — yet his voice remains unmistakably his own. A multi-media artist whose exquisite creations span glass, jewelry, and blade, he produces in very small, sacred quantities. His pieces are rare because true art cannot be rushed or repeated.
We are honored to present Six of Six — an intimate and exclusive offering that forms part of our 15th Anniversary Collection. These six extraordinary Damascus pistols are each crowned with a unique grip forged by the hands of Jason Morrissey.
Our collaboration with Jason began many years ago with the Diablo Damascus pistol and has since flowered through one-of-a-kind Masterpieces Magma, Raindrop, St. Michael’s Banderole, and the Gothic Guardian. With every project, we have pursued the highest ideal of the 1911 — not simply as a firearm, but as wearable heirloom art forged from the rarest materials on earth. Each of the six pistols is rendered in the enduring full-åsize Government form, proudly chambered in .45 ACP—a distinctly American pairing of strength, heritage, and time-honored design.
Serial numbered A1of1, A2of6, A3of6, A4of6, A5of6 and A6of6, these six pistols represent the crowning gem of Cabot’s Damascus journey.

The pattern of the Morrissey Damascus grips on Pisol One of the collection is a balance of order and evolution that defines this 1911. Linear elements establish a framework—strong, deliberate, and grounded—while subtle curves and variations soften the structure from within. The pattern builds in layers, each one contributing to a larger, unified composition that feels both stable and dynamic.
The interplay between precision and movement gives this set its character. It does not rely on bold contrast or overt complexity, but instead reveals itself gradually, through alignment, repetition, and variation. The two panels work in concert, forming a design that is both disciplined and alive.
Serial number A1OF6 (A one of six)
The Morrissey Damascus grips on Pistol Two have a composition that feels as though it was discovered rather than made, this Damascus unfolds in layered currents that rise and fall like the contours of an ancient landscape. Fine lines gather and separate in quiet rhythm, while rounded formations emerge like islands in a shifting field. There is depth here—not just visual, but almost geological—suggesting time, pressure, and transformation held within the steel itself.
Look longer, and the pattern begins to reveal its structure. What first appears organic gives way to intention, each layer placed with care, each movement guided by a steady hand. The two panels speak to one another, not as mirrors, but as continuations—each carrying the same language, expressed in its own voice.
Serial Number: A2OF6 (A two of six)
The Morrissey Damascus grips on Pistol Three of the collection are more expressive and less confined, this set breaks from repetition and embraces variation. Broad, sculptural forms sweep across the panels, intersected by finer details that add depth without limiting the movement. The pattern feels less like a system and more like a gesture—confident, deliberate, and free.
There is a tension here between control and release, where the structure of the steel gives way to something more interpretive. Each panel carries its own identity, yet together they form a cohesive whole. It is a composition that feels immediate, almost instinctive, yet undeniably refined.
Serial Number: A3OF6 (A three of six)
The pattern of the Morrissey Damascus grips on Pistol Four carries motion within it, as if the steel has been caught in the act of becoming. Long, sweeping lines move diagonally across the surface, stretching and compressing in a rhythm that feels both natural and directed. There is energy in the pattern—measured, controlled, but unmistakable—like wind across open ground or water pulled by unseen force.
Beneath these larger movements, finer striations ripple quietly, adding texture and depth without interrupting the flow. The result is a composition that feels alive, where each panel holds tension and release in equal measure. It is Damascus that suggests motion, even in stillness.
Serial Number A4OF6 (A four of six)
Pistol Five of the collection features Morrissey Damascus grips that feature a damascus pattern that is a return to organic form, this set carries a softer, more fluid expression. Rounded contours and layered waves move across the surface with ease, creating a pattern that feels continuous and unforced. The lines gather and disperse like currents, forming shapes that seem to evolve rather than repeat.
There is a sense of calm in this composition, a balance between detail and openness. The panels complement one another naturally, each extending the flow of the other. It is Damascus that invites observation without demanding it—subtle, refined, and enduring.
Serial Number A5OF6 (A five of six)
The language of the Morrissey Damascus steel grips on Pistol SIX shifts toward structure and order. Lines intersect with precision, forming a pattern that feels deliberate, architectural, and resolved. Rectilinear elements repeat and align, creating a surface that is immediately legible yet deeply complex. It is a composition built not from chance, but from control.
And still, within that order, the hand of the maker remains present. Subtle variations break the symmetry just enough to remind you that this is forged, not fabricated. The two panels align in intent, forming a unified statement—disciplined, exacting, and quietly commanding.
Serial Number A6OF6 (A six of six)
